- I have been married for 20 years.
- I have two sons and a four leg princess.
- Aside from being an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners, I graduated 20 years ago from Finance and Marketing and have a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
- For a decade, I was Central America’s Marketing Director for a major multinational movie studio so I deeply understand struggles to balance a career, family life, self care, health and happiness.
- I left a successful corporate career to dedicate 100% of my time to my family so I also know by personal experience that being a full time mom is the hardest job. I know how easy it is to neglect oneself by putting everyone needs before ours.
- If you have seen my boys, you are not experiencing double vision, they are in fact identical twins.
- I am a descendant of a Panamanian father and a Cuban mother. My husband is from the Dominican Republic and between uncles, aunts ,and cousins, my family is made up of a mix of nationalities from the USA, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Peru, Puerto Rico, Sweden, and Panama, which make for the most interesting and fun family reunions!
- I was born and raised in Panama but studied and worked in the USA for a decade.
- My first language is Spanish. I learned English as a grown up so forgive me if sometimes my choice of words in English sound different or if I make a few grammatical or pronunciation mistakes.
- The beach makes me happy. Green lush nature relaxes, recharges and nurtures me like anything else but for some reason that I can’t explain, I also love and crave the energy that I get from big cities.
- I love to learn from others, specially from people older than me. Listening to life stories of people from different backgrounds fascinates me.
- I identify myself too much with a phrase in Spanish that roughly translates into: “Rushing will only tire you”. I crave tranquility. Wherever we are going, we can eventually get there calmly, right? I enjoy taking smaller, firmer steps everyday.
- I am extremely shy, particularly if I am with people that I don’t know very well. I can’t help it. Even in my 40s I still will blush on certain situations. It annoys me.
- Food is extremely important to me. I need real food that will nurture me and I need time to eat it without rushing.
- I always make time or plan ahead so I can eat properly. I don’t understand how there are people that say they are too busy to eat so they constantly skip breakfast or other meals. It really saddens me that there are a lot of people and kids that are not able to do three meals a day due to economic reasons.
- I never get bored. Not even when I had to be hospitalized and bed ridden for two months when I was pregnant. I always have things to do, read, learn, plan, talk about, etc.
- I absolutely love and treasure having the time to do things that are important to me. Achieving this takes a lot of sacrifices and discipline but you need to figure out how to make it possible.
- I love feeling energized, at peace and healthy. After hard earned life lessons I am committed to recognize and eliminate from my habits or anything that interferes with that. It’s an ongoing effort. A process. A lifestyle. I finally realized that I have to first be well so I can then give my best to others.
- I love when others inspire and motivate me.
